Dr Gillian Boland commenced her medical career in National University of Ireland Galway having been awarded a scholarship to study medicine, qualifying in 1999.
She then spent a year in Australia gaining valuable experience in the fields of Accident and Emergency, Paediatrics and Obstetrics and Gynaecology. She then returned to her native Limerick to complete a three year specialist training scheme in general practice with the Mid Western GP Training scheme. She attained further qualifications in child health and family planning. She qualified as a General Practitioner in 2004.
Dr Boland then attained a graduate diploma in Practical Dermatology with the University of Cardiff in 2006 .
She is an adjunct Senior Clinical Lecturer in the Graduate Entry Medical School in the University of Limerick
Along with Dr Cahill and Dr Donohoe, Dr Boland is a founding doctor of Dooradoyle Medical Centre.
She enjoys all aspects of General Practice and has a particular interest in Dermatology and Female Health.
Dr Boland is on the General Practice Specialist register
