Sheila is our practice nurse and has extensive experience in the area of General Practice Nursing. She qualified from the nursing school of University College Hosptial Limerick in 1997. She then attained very valuable experience in the field of hospital nursing in both medical and surgical wards for a period of four years before undertaking further study in the area of Practice Nursing in 2000. Sheila has worked as a Practice Nurse for the past 15 yrs and joined the team at Dooradoyle Medical Centre in 2013. She has completed her training in cervical smear taking in 2000 had has participated as a health professional with Cervcical Check since its inception. She bridges the gap between doctor and patient in a caring, competent manner, showing compassion for her patients at all times.

She has particular interest in Cervical screening, Antenatal care, Childhood and Travel vaccinations, Diabetes, Asthma, Venesections, and Wound care.

Sheila is a member of the Practice Nurses Association of Ireland
